Rot in heaven, you're forgiven in hell
The second angle I saw today was like a Kurosawa wet dream.
I remember accidentally pulling the spigot off a box of wine at an old job... It was JUST like that.
Every time I hear about the "optics" of violence I'm reminded of an extremely local happening. Footage of a near shooting from proud boys fleeing a counter protest I was in attendance of. They had a pitiful showing of about 7 or 8 to a raging city block of at least 30 to 40 screaming fags ever growing as the hours passed quickly. Some folks passing around rosemary as a "calming technique"... Probably worked about as good as trail mix. When the boys were leaving one pulled a gun on a pursuer that broke his windshield, hastily de-escalated by one of his own whining "think about the optics!!!!".
It's in these times I remind everyone that not all acts of violence are created equal. We fight and claw at our oppressors as a means of survival, they fire back like hunters who had no business dealing with game like us in the first place.
The lives of the marginalized look like roadkill to the self-righteous. Only ready to quip back when a prized buck is hanging on the mantle at a house party they still don't intend on leaving, just boisterous claims of disapproval, but will still eat the cheese and sup wine and cheap beer over a football game with their so called opposition.
We have no business with the self righteous. Our optics were tainted the moment we set foot from our doorways bold enough to be ourselves. The imperial world will always find a way to make you the enemy, God forbid we start to prove it...
But hey, youve outlived another executioner today. One more day to eat noodles and talk about comics and laugh and grieve and sing and cry. Each moment is another they'll never have.
Don't just celebrate his death. Celebrate the life he'll never have.
Every breath you take is an even further act of resistance than it was yesterday.
Fuckin proud of you!!!
