When I was very young I dreamed of being a fighter pilot. With no romance for the military industrial complex my fascination with the sound barrier and the triumph of man symbolized by an aircraft carrier persisted...

I consider myself lucky. Standing transexually at a towering 6'6" kept me from such fantasies. Kept me away from war crimes and the bloodshed at the other end of those beautifully crafted swords. The Blue Angels only thought their curses we're sufficient. The culinary world has done enough on me, I've served my time, atoned for the sins I almost stumbled into headfirst.

Today, in a sea of empty snacks and beers, I'll settle quietly for Ace Combat and my roommates flight stick.

I keep all of my adrenaline highs close to my heart, they have their own bookshelf. Not often talked about against the peculiarities of my 20s and the strange places my new roads always seem to lead.

Being born with wings, it's only natural that sometimes I look towards the sky...
